COLOUR MOODS THAT HEAL

The healing power of colour has been recognised for centuries in different cultures and today Colour Therapy is one of the fastest growing areas of complementary health. Colour Therapy works on the principle that colours have their own therapeutic qualities which can enhance mood, improve mental state and promote the body's inner healing.

Natural sunlight allows us to see the whole range of colours. The amount of natural light and colour we are exposed to affects our health and wellbeing. In fact we need exposure to the full spectrum of colours to be healthy, to generate positive energy levels and quality sleep.

When it comes to influencing our moods, some colours like yellow, make us mentally alert and boost motivation whilst others such as deep blue are calming, soothing and help induce sleep.

Colour Therapy embraces colour psychology using colour as a diagnostic tool to determine a person's emotional and mental state, and to identify areas requiring attention. Different aspects of life are related to different colours, as outlined below:
